Trek 2017 General Information

                                                       Dates for Trek:   July 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2017

Dear Parents,

We are so happy to have your child join us for this year’s Nashua New Hampshire Stake Youth Conference, Ask & Act: It’s your Journey! Trek 2017. The Stake Young Women’s and Young Men’s Presidencies, Stake Trek Directors, along with the Stake Youth Council over Trek, and many adult volunteers have been preparing for this event for months. We know that Trek will provide the youth with powerful opportunities to strengthen their testimonies, build unity, and learn core gospel principles. We hope that this experience will also help them to learn about who they are and what they may become.

We will start our journey at the Nashua Stake Center (110 Concord St. Nashua, New Hampshire) on Thursday, July 6, 2017.

All youth should arrive at 7:30 AM. Drivers should follow the signs in the parking lot to drop off youth and gear.

A few parents will be needed to drive participants to the Trek starting point at Massobesic Lake, Auburn, about 25 minutes away. You will receive a call from a member of the Stake YW Presidency to make those arrangements if you are available to help.

A light breakfast will be served at registration from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

Youth should bring with them:

Everyone will wear pioneer clothing on Thursday and Friday. For clothing guidelines, please refer to http://www.nashuastakeyouth.org/trek-2017-prep

Youth should bring a pair of knee-length shorts or light pants (no blue jeans) for Saturday.  These should be in a separate bag with their name on it. Bring bag to the registration table.

Tee-shirts will be given out on Friday night to wear on Saturday.

Personal items should be packed in their bucket.  Youth should label bucket and lid with their name. If they decorate their bucket, they should use waterproof markers/paint.

Sleeping bag and pillow should be in a large plastic bag labeled with their name.

Please label all belongings.

We invite you and your family to join us for the Welcome to Zion Celebration on Saturday, July 8, at 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Camp Zion, 30 Onway Lake Rd, Raymond, NH. This is where you will pick up your child/ren.

We have planned a fantastic afternoon of food, games, and music for the whole family!

Please refer to the Nashua Stake Youth Website http://www.nashuastakeyouth.org/trek-2017-title for important information regarding Trek and the Welcome to Zion Celebration.

Sincerely,
Pete and Colleen, Trek Directors
