Stake Youth Council (SYC)

What is SYC?

It's the Stake Youth Council. If you are between 16 and 18 years old (inclusive), that's you! The SYC works with Stake Young Men and Young Women presidencies to organize stake youth activities and hasten the work of salvation.

So, what am I supposed to do?

You are assigned to a sub-committee for an upcoming event to help organize it. If you don't know your event, ask your stake or ward leaders. We also encourage you to take an active role in the Hastening the Work sub-committee. You should come to each SYC meeting possible and notify your event sub-committee if you can't make it.

When are SYC meetings? Which ones do I attend?

SYC meetings are on the calendar and posted to the right, typically preceding stake events for travel convenience. Please come to all of them! Sub-committees with events coming up soon will meet during the breakouts. If your event sub-committee is not meeting, you will attend the Hastening the Work sub-committee breakout.

What is the "Hastening the Work" sub-committee?

First of all, it's awesome. The Lord and His prophets, as well as the stake leaders, put great trust in you to hasten the work of salvation. In this sub-committee, you will collaborate to find ways to do this as a group and individually. One recent embark of the Hastening the Work sub-committee is digital missions. Visit the Hastening the Work page for more information.
