Youth Conference Attendees:

As Youth Conference approaches next week (July 7-8th), our Youth Conference SYC Committee and Stake Youth Leaders invite all youth and adults to participate in a special Stake-wide Fast and scripture study.

Theme and Objective of Youth Conference 2016

Theme:
This year’s Theme is the mutual theme (2 Nephi 31: 20-“Press Forward With a Steadfastness in Christ) and our slogan is “Press Forward to Palmyra.”  Our Stake Youth Presidencies were guided from above in being directed  by the Lord the need for our youth to be in Palmyra this year for Youth Conference.  We had some amazing spiritual experiences which guided this decision.

Objective
The objective of Pressing Forward to Palmyra, is two-fold: To help the youth solidify and/or begin to gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon as a true Testament of Jesus Christ, and secondly to gain an unwavering conviction that Joseph Smith is the Lord’s Prophet of the Restoration in these the Latter Days.

Please prepare your hearts and minds for Youth Conference by:
1 - Focus your fast this Sunday on the theme and objectives shared above
2 - Read and ponder:
  • Theme scripture (2 Nephi 31:20)
  • Joseph Smith History from the Pearl of Great Price
Wonderful experiences await us as we Press Forward to Palmyra.

Our hearts are full of gratitude, love and hope for each of you.
